David Lawrence Ramsey III was born on September 3, 1960. He was an American businessman, author, and radio host who focused on personal finance. Not the usual choice for someone, but he really enjoyed playing ice hockey at Antioch High School. The world would later know him as a nationally syndicated radio host and evangelical Christian. He even hosted a show about business on Fox from 2007 to 2010. If that wasn’t enough to impress you, he wrote several books including The Total Money Makeover which became a New York Times bestseller.
Career:

In 1992: Financial Peace, his first book, was published in 1992 by the Lampo Group, a financial counseling firm he founded in 1988.

Since 1992: Ramsey has hosted The Money Game on WWTN/Nashville.

1994: David Lawrence Ramsey III debut of Ramsey's video-based personal finance course, Financial Peace University.

As of 2019: Ramsey Solutions is based on a 47-acre campus in Franklin, Tennessee, where The Lampo Group, Inc. was rebranded in 2014.
