Magdalena Abakanowicz, one of the popular Polish sculptors, was born on 20th June 1930 and died on 20th April 2017. As a fiber artist, she used textiles for sculptural works and outdoor installations. Agora in Chicago and Birds of Knowledge of Good and Evil in Milwaukee are two of her works that are widely regarded as internationally acclaimed artworks by Polish artists.
