About (Profile/Biography):
Henry VIII, King of England and native to the country, was a real tyrant. He modified the English Constitution and grew royal power as much as he could. On top of that he declared himself superior to the Church of England. That’s not all though, Henry had a love for ships. He’d spare no expense to outfit them with artillery and whatever else they needed. A madman with boats some would say. His navy was so impressive that he got the nickname “Father of the Royal Navy” during his rule in Portsmouth.
Henry VIII Legacy:
Henry VIII was infamous for both his numerous scandalous love affairs and his six marriages.
Henry VIII was infamous for his ruthlessness, and since he was so preoccupied with maintaining his power, he frequently put down dissenters by having them executed without even a formal trial.
Wolsey quickly rose to prominence in the English court and was appointed Lord Chancellor in 1515.
King Francis I of France was defeated and taken by Charles, but none of Henry's hopes for this war were realised. He signed the Treaty of the More in 1525 after withdrawing England from the alliance with France.
Henry VIII Title:
Henry VIII joined the Holy League's war against France in 1511 under Pope Julius II. The first French expedition, which the King used to try to subjugate French regions, was greatly dependent on Wolsey's assistance.
On April 21, 1509, King Henry VII passed away, and the young Henry became king in his place. Henry VIII, who was young and inexperienced when he became king, leaned heavily on Thomas Wolsey's leadership to run the country.
Henry VIII Unknown facts:
