Currently, Rinku Singh plays for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. Besides the Premier League, Uttar Pradesh plays domestic cricket. As a left-handed batsman and off-spinner, he is a top-order batsman. He was the third child among five siblings born to Khanchandra Singh, who worked for a LPG distribution company. Growing up in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, he lived in a two-room quarter near Aligarh Stadium.
Career:
At the Under-16, Under-19, and Under-23 levels, he represented Uttar Pradesh, as well as the Central Zone at the Under-19 level.
2014: he made his List A cricket debut for Uttar Pradesh at the age of 16 and scored the highest score for the team with 83 in that match. As a first-class player for Uttar Pradesh, he made his debut in the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy on 5 November 2016. In the Ranji Trophy group stage of the 2018–19 season, he scored 803 runs in nine matches for Uttar Pradesh.
2017: He was signed by the Kings XI Punjab team for the Indian Premier League.
2018: The Kolkata Knight Riders bought him for 80 lakh during the 2018 IPL auction.
Suspension:
Singh was suspended for three months by the Board of Control for Cricket on 30 May 2019.
Taking part in the Ramadan T20 Tournament in Abu Dhabi without seeking prior permission from the BCCI for permission to play.
