Barry Bonds is a former American professional baseball player who has also played as a left hand fielder in Major League Baseball (MLB). Bonds is regarded as one of the greatest baseball players. A number of MLB records, including the lifetime and single-season home run records, were broken by him, for which he is famed.

1986-1992: From 1986 until 1992, Barry Bonds played with the Pittsburgh Pirates, where he started his professional career. He was awarded two National League MVP awards while playing for the Pirates.

1993-2007: Bonds joined the San Francisco Giants in 1993, and he played there until his retirement in 2007. Bonds saw some of his most prosperous seasons while playing for the Giants. In 2001, he hit 73 home runs, cracking the previous record in MLB, and won five National League MVP awards.

Barry Bonds won the Gold Glove award eight times, and was named as National League MVP seven times. He was an All-Star fourteen times.
With the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1990 and 1992, he won two National League MVP awards.
