Kim Ji-soo was born on January 3, 1995. Singer and actress Jisoo is known for her mononymous stage name. It was in August 2016 that she joined the girl group Blackpink, formed by YG Entertainment. Her first leading role came in the JTBC series Snowdrop (2021-22) after appearing in a cameo role in The Producers in 2015. She has a brother and sister; both are older than her. Playing basketball and practicing Taekwondo were two of her favorite activities as a child. Painting and writing were her dreams. TVXQ was one of her favorite Korean boy groups. After joining the school's drama club in 11th grade, Jisoo gained more experience in the entertainment industry by auditioning for shows at the School of Performing Arts Seoul.
Career:
In 2011: Jisoo joined YG Entertainment as a trainee after passing the company's auditions.
October 2014: Epik High's "Spoiler + Happen Ending" music video featured her as a heartbroken girl.
As a member of 2NE1, Jisoo played a cameo role in the KBS2 drama The Producers.
August 8, 2016: Having released their single album Square One, Jisoo became the oldest member of Blackpink alongside Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa.
Jisoo has been hosting Inkigayo since 2017, along with Jin-young of Got7 and Doyoung of NCT.
In 2021: Jisoo starred opposite Jung Hae-in in JTBC's series Snowdrop. As Eun Yeong-ro, a college freshman held hostage by her love interest; she played a college freshman with a tragic ending.
