Buckethead (born May 13, 1969) is an American guitarist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. His innovative electric guitar playing has received critical acclaim. His music genres include progressive metal, funk, blues, bluegrass, ambient, and avant-garde. He has contributed to more than fifty albums by other artists. A major motion picture composer and performer, Buckethead has contributed lead guitar to the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie soundtrack on the tracks "Firebird" and "Mortal Kombat," Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, Last Action Hero, Falling, and Ghosts of Mars.
Buckethead Career:        
1992: Buckethead founded Praxis in 1992 with Bill Laswell, Bernie Worrell, Bootsy Collins, and Bryan "Brain" Mantia. A well-received album released the same year was Transmutation (Mutatis Mutandis). 
1996: Buckethead released The Day of the Robot, along with Brain and keyboardist Pete Scaturro, on NTT Records. In 1997, he released another album with DJ Ninj and Laswell.
1998: Buckethead released Colma in 1998 as a dedication to his mother, who had colon cancer at the time. Praxis released a compilation album called Collection the same year.
2002: Buckethead released three studio albums in 2002: He released three albums: Funnel Weaver, a collection of 49 short tracks; Bermuda Triangle; and Electric Tears.
2003: Buckethead paid tribute to his early teachers as the Deli Creeps played at Styles Music's 25th-anniversary show in 2003.
2017: Carroll gave a rare interview in October 2017 where he discussed the Buckethead character, his parent's deaths, and his health issues.
