US citizen Rachael Denhollander was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, on August 8, 1984. She attended a nearby club to train gymnastics and was homeschooled. She began coaching gymnastics in 2004. At the age of 19, she enrolled in Oak Brook College of Law and Government Policy to start law school. The Abraham Kuyper Prize for Excellence in Reformed Theology and Public Life is being awarded to her in 2021.
