On September 21, 1954, Cass Sunstein was born in Concord, Massachusetts in the United States. In 1975, Sunstein earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Harvard College. He edited the Harvard Lampoon in addition to playing varsity squash at Harvard. He received his Juris Doctor with honors in 1978 from Harvard Law School, where he also served as executive editor of the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review and was a member of the Ames Moot Court Competition winning team.
