Hoda Kotb is an American journalist, television personality, and author. Hoda is best known as the co-anchor of the fourth hour of NBC's Today show. Her work on Today, along with her engaging personality and philanthropic efforts, has made her a beloved figure to many viewers.

Hoda Kotb Early Life and Education

Hoda Kotb grew up in a Muslim family and attended Virginia Tech, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism. Hoda later earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing from the same university.

Hoda Kotb Career in Journalism

Kotb began her career in journalism as a news assistant at CBS News in 1986. 

Hoda Kotb later worked as a reporter and anchor for several local television stations before joining NBC News in 1998. At NBC, she served as a correspondent and fill-in anchor for various news programs, including NBC Nightly News, Today, and Dateline NBC.

Hoda Kotb Today Show and Other Television Appearances

In 2007, Kotb became the co-anchor of NBC's Today show alongside Kathie Lee Gifford. The duo quickly became popular with audiences for their lighthearted banter and engaging personalities. In 2018, Gifford left the show and Kotb was joined by Jenna Bush Hager as her new co-anchor.

In addition to her work on Today, Kotb has also appeared on other television programs, including The Voice, Lip Sync Battle, and Law & Order: SVU.
