Joy Mangano, a well-known American inventor and entrepreneur was born in  1956 in East Meadow, New York.  Mangano attended Pace University, earning a degree in business administration in 1978. Joy Mangano was married to Anthony Miranne. Robert, Jackie, and Christie are the couple's three children.

Career:

Mangano is listed as the inventor on 126 different patent publications spanning 71 patent families.

In 1990: Mangano created her first innovation, the "Miracle Mop," after becoming dissatisfied with standard mops. 

In 1999, Joy Mangano sold Ingenious Designs to USA Networks.

By 2000: The company sold $10 million of Miracle Mops annually.

Career in Television

In 1992: Joy Mangano debuted on QVC, and shortly after, she started frequently appearing on HSN.

Mangano has additionally participated in infomercials and shorter advertisements for her business.

In 2005: Mangano served as a judge in the “Made in the USA.”

On February 2, 2007, Joy Mangano also appeared on the ABC program The View.
