Rolling Loud: The Movie follows a by-the-book father who secretly brings his 13-year-old son to the Rolling Loud hip-hop festival in an attempt to bond and be a cooler dad. The plan quickly falls apart when disappears into a crowd of thousands, sending the father through mosh pits, backstage confusion, and increasingly absurd encounters as he tries to find him. The film stars Owen Wilson as the determined father, Christian Convery as his teenage son, Matt Rife as the father's co-worker who becomes part of the frantic adventure, and Christine Ko as another unpredictable presence in the festival chaos. Directed by Jeremy Garelick and inspired in part by his own experience of losing track of his son at Rolling Loud, the movie mixes family bonding, festival mayhem, comedy, and music culture.
