Harlan Coben is an American author who has made his name in the thrilling mystery genre. He’s best known for being a bestselling author. The writer was brought into this world in 1962 up in New Jersey. Harlan was raised by a Jewish family over in Livingston. With so many books under his belt he’s proven to be very successful and a writer with plenty of thoughts to share. His stories are loved by all from the captivating plot twists down to little things like how they’re written, which have caused him to blow up outside of just the US.

Coben attended Amherst College, where he studied political science and graduated in 1984.

Coben worked in the travel industry for his grandfather's business after graduating in 1984.

"Play Dead," the first thriller Coben ever penned, was released in 1990. 

In 2001, his book "Tell No One" achieved widespread acclaim and soon became a success.

Coben has now released over 30 books, including the well-known Myron Bolitar series.

In 2008: Hold Tight, a novel, was his first book to debut at number one on the New York Times Best Seller list.

Amazon Studios stated in 2022 that it would create a series based on the first Mickey Bolitar book, Shelter.

Coben and the American firm Netflix agreed to a multi-million dollar, five-year deal in August 2018.
