Venus Williams, a well-known American professional tennis player, was born in California, U.S. Williams is a former No. 1 in both singles and doubles. She is recognized as one of the greatest athletes ever to play the game. Venus Williams was trained by her parents, Oracene Price and Richard Williams, along with her younger sister, Serena.

Venus Williams Education: Venus attended high school in West Palm Beach, Florida, and graduated in 1997. She briefly attended the University of Miami but decided to turn professional before completing her degree.

•    In 1997: Venus won in the IGA Tennis Classic in Oklahoma City to claim her first professional singles victory.
