The American track and field sprinter Allyson Felix has won six gold medals at the Olympic Games in track and field. The Olympian has a total of nine medals to her credit, making her one of the most decorated women in the history of the sport. She is an accomplished runner who specializes in sprinting for 100m, 200m, and 400m. During the 2015 World Championships at the Olympic Games in Rio, she ran the fastest sprint ever recorded by an American woman in the 4 x 400m relay.
Allyson Felix Career:
It was at the 2004 Summer Olympics that Allyson Felix made her Olympic debut.
During the 2005 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, she went on to become the youngest-ever gold medal winner in the 200 meter race at the World Championships.
In the 2008 Olympic Trials, she qualified for the 200 meter event and just missed qualifying for the 100 meter event at the Games.
As a result of her third gold medal in the 200 m race at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics, she became the first woman to claim three gold medals at the 200 m World Championships in her career.
Her Olympic tally now stands at nine medals after winning the 4 x 100 m relay gold and the 4 x 400 m relay silver in Rio de Janeiro, increasing her tally to nine medals (six golds and three silvers).
