Anthony David Gonzalez was born on 27th February 1976. He played 17 seasons as a tight end in the National Football League (NFL). Currently ranked third in overall receptions, he leads the NFL in receiving yards and receptions for tight ends. His last five seasons were spent with the Atlanta Falcons. Previously, Gonzalez worked at CBS Sports and Fox Sports before joining NFL on Prime Video.

• Gonzalez was ranked as a top 15 selection in the 1997 NFL Draft. The Chiefs drafted Gonzalez after trading up from the 18th to the 13th game selection with the Tennessee Oilers.
• His career began in 1997. A blocked punt and 33 receptions helped the Chiefs finish with the #1 record in the American Football Conference (AFC).
• His 1997 season was recognized as an All-Rookie Team selection for the NFL. Gonzalez caught two touchdown passes for the second time in a row in 1998, recording 59 receptions for 621 yards.

The Atlanta Falcons acquired Gonzalez in April 2009 for a second-round draft pick. On Sunday, he became the 21st player in NFL history with 11,000 receiving yards against the Miami Dolphins.

Tony Gonzalez Post-NFL Career
• Gonzalez became an analyst for CBS's NFL Today pregame show after retiring from the NFL. In 2016, he retired from CBS.
• Gonzalez joined Fox's pregame show on 10th May 2017. A move to focus on more film and TV projects made Gonzalez leave Fox on 16th July 2021.
• Gonzalez will join Amazon as a studio analyst for Thursday Night Football in 2022, following a one-year hiatus from broadcasting.
Tony Gonzalez's Personal Life:
He had a commitment ceremony with his girlfriend, October, in July 2007, but the couple is not legally married. Together, they have two daughters and a son. Lauren Sanchez, an entertainment reporter, had another child with him from a previous relationship. Huntington Beach is where he lives.
