Sathiyan Gnanasekaran (Profile/Biography):
Sathiyan Gnanasekaran was born 8 January 1993. As of August 2021, he is ranked 38 worldwide in table tennis. During the 2011 Junior World Championships, he was part of the Indian team that won bronze. Sathiyan reached his career-best World ranking of 24 in May 2019, becoming the first Indian paddler to make the Top 25 in the ITTF World Rankings. Indian paddler becomes first to sign with Okayama Rivets of the Japanese T-league. The Rahul Dravid Athlete Mentorship Programme is supported by the GoSports Foundation, with commercial management provided by Baseline Ventures.

In school, Sathiyan began playing table tennis and competing in inter-school events. Subramanian Raman, former Indian paddler and Arjuna award, noticed his skills. Sathiyan was pursuing his engineering degree and playing in tournaments at this time.
During the 2011: He made his international debut for India and won a bronze medal in World Junior Championships 2011.
2017: Sathiyan Gnanasekaran went on to win a silver medal at the ITTF Challenge in Bulgaria after winning a bronze medal in the ITTF Major in Sweden.
2017: A gold medal in singles in ITTF Challenge Spain was Sathiyan's second consecutive gold medal, becoming the first Indian to win two Pro Tour titles.
2018: At the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games 2018, Sathiyan Gnanasekaran won three medals.
2021: Sathiyan Gnanasekaran with Indian table tennis men's team won a bronze medal in Jakarta, Indonesia, in Sathiyan's Asian Games.
