Sadio Mané is a Senegalese professional footballer who was born on April 10 1992 in Bambali, Sédhiou, Senegal. Despite his father's distaste for football, he wished to play the sport as a child; however, he lost his father at seven. So, as a teenager, he fled his home village and moved to Dakar to pursue his dream of becoming a footballer. Since then, his family has supported him in fulfilling his potential to become a forward for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich and the Senegalese national team. A world-renowned soccer player known for dribbling, pressing, and speed, he is regarded as one of Africa's greatest players.
Career:
In 2011, he joined Metz, a company in partnership with Generation Foot.
On 14 January 2012, he was introduced as a replacement for Kévin Diaz during Ligue 2's 0–1 home loss to Bastia.
The Austrian Bundesliga's 27 October 2013 fixture against Grödig saw him score his first hat-trick.
Mané signed a four-year contract with Premier League side Southampton on 1 September 2014.
