About (Profile/Biography):

Michael Irvin, a well-known professional Football Player, was born in Florida. He is one of the best wide receivers to ever play professional football. He was drawn to the University of Miami after graduation, where he helped the Hurricanes win the 1987 national championship by setting school records for receptions, receiving yards, and touchdown receptions.

Career:

Irvin provided a preview of what was to come during his 12-season tenure with the Cowboys as a rookie.

Irvin made history by being Dallas' first rookie wide receiver in more than 20 years to start the first game of the season.

Irvin was already well-known for his ebullience at the time, which was best demonstrated by his custom of raising both hands in the air in celebration following touchdowns.

The Cowboys picked Irvin in the first round of the National Football League draught the following year after he declared for it. His squad only had three victories despite a strong rookie campaign.

From 1991 to 1995, Irvin had over 1,000 receiving yards in five straight seasons and contributed to the Cowboys' three Super Bowl victories.

In 1999, an injury ended his career. Irvin was hurt in Philadelphia, where Eagles supporters memorably applauded as he was carried off the field on a stretcher.

Achievements and Awards:

Irvin won the Wide Receiver of the Year award from the National Football League (NFL) Alumni in 1991.

Irvin won the Super Bowl in 1996 while playing with the Dallas Cowboys.
