Jules Olivier Koundé was born on November 12, 1998. His professional football career includes playing for the French national team and La Liga club Barcelona. Koundé is half French and half Beninese. Playing the whole 90 minutes and 30 minutes of extra time on 7 January 2018, Koundé made the first team debut for Bordeaux in their 2–1 Coupe de France away loss to US Granville.
