He earned Freshman All-American and Pac-12 Freshman Offensive Player of the Year honors throughout his college football career. Rosen set the school's record for passing yards in his junior year. Rosen was drafted 10th overall by the Arizona Cardinals in 2018. He was released after one season after being traded to the Miami Dolphins. During his next two seasons, Rosen backed up the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers.

• Josh Rosen completed 35-of-59 passes for 491 yards and four touchdowns in UCLA's 45–44 Rose Bowl win over Texas A&M. With 48 seconds to go in the game, Rosen threw a touchdown pass to Jordan Lasley.
• Josh Rosen left October 28's game against Washington due to a concussion, which he had attempted to hide from his coaches after being injured on a sack on the game's first drive.
• Josh Rosen signed a four-year deal worth $17.84 million with an $11 million signing bonus on May 10, 2018. Rosen won the backup position over Mike Glennon during training camp. The Cardinals trailed 16–14 with 4:31 remaining in Week 3 of 2018 when he made his first regular-season appearance.
