Clark served as the lead prosecutor for the NFL player Orenthal James Simpson in the infamous criminal trial in which he was tried for killing his ex-wife and her friend Ron Goldman. Clark is also an author and TV correspondent. She earned her Juris Doctorate at Southwestern University School of Law, where she was born and raised in Alameda, California. After graduating from law school, she became a prosecutor for the Los Angeles District Attorney. As a prosecutor, she became famous for the murder trial of Robert John Bardo and the trial of O. J. Simpson. As a result of Simpson's conviction for the murders of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown, he was sentenced to death.

Among her many accomplishments, she has appeared on numerous TV shows and written numerous novels.
Despite Marcia Clark's and her colleagues' best efforts, Mark Fuhrman, Simpson's own witness detective, hindered their attempts to prove Simpson had committed the murders.
Additionally, she wrote a series of novels about a defense lawyer named Samantha Brinkman. Among the series' titles are Blood Defense (2016), Moral Defense (2016), and Snap Judgment (2017).
