Harish Salve was born on June 22nd, 1955. Practicing at the Supreme Court of India, he is an Indian senior advocate. In his role as Solicitor General of India, he served between November 1st, 1999, and November 3rd, 2002. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) also heard the case of Kulbhushan Jadhav. He was appointed Queen's Counsel for England and Wales on January 16th, 2020.
Career:
1980: Initially as an intern, he became a full-time attorney at "J. B. Dadachandji & Co.".
Between 1980 and 1986: Salve worked for former Attorney General Soli Sorabjee.
2022: As his first term ended in November 2002, he declined nomination for a second three-year term for "personal reasons."
2013: Salve joined Blackstone Chambers after being admitted to the English Bar.
2015: Salman Khan's case was one of the most high-profile cases Harish Salve handled.
2017: During the Kulbhushan Jadhav case before the International Court of Justice, Harish Salve represented India. On charges of spying, Jadhav was sentenced to death by a Pakistani military court
