Narciso Jesus Rodriguez III is a fashion designer from the USA. His parents are Narciso Rodrguez Sanchez II, a longshoreman, and Rawedia Mara Rodrguez. The Canary Islands are where his paternal grandfather was born. He graduated from Kearny, New Jersey's modest Catholic St. Cecilias High School in 1979. He attended Parsons The New School for Designing, the New School's art and design school, while living in New York City. He was opposed by his parents to enter the fashion industry.

Career:
In 1996: His first significant notoriety came when he created Carolyn Bessette's bridal gown for her nuptials to John F. Kennedy Jr.
In 1997: A new label was launched by him.
In 2003: His debut perfume, Narciso Rodriguez for Her, was created in response to an Egyptian musk oil gift he received in high school.
In 2007: A 50% stake in the Narciso Rodriguez clothing line was purchased by Liz Claiborne.
In 2008: For $12 million, Narciso Rodriguez repurchased Liz Claiborne's 50% shareholding.
