Margaret Cushing Whitman was born on August 4, 1956. Former California governor and US ambassador to Kenya, she is a business executive and former gubernatorial candidate. She serves on several committees as a board member of Procter & Gamble and General Motors. Hewlett Packard Enterprise was Whitman's previous employer. She also headed Quibi from its foundation in August 2018 until its closure in December 2020. Whitman served on his campaign staff during Mitt Romney's 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns.
