Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz named Fiorina his vice presidential running mate on April 27, 2016. If Cruz became the official nominee, Fiorina would be his vice presidential running mate. Instead, he suspended his presidential campaign after Donald Trump's victory in the Indiana Republican primary.
