Carly Fiorina was born on 6 September 1954. From 1999 to 2005, Fiorina was the CEO of Hewlett-Packard and ran for the California Senate seat in 2010. Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz named Fiorina his vice presidential running mate on April 27, 2016. If Cruz became the official nominee, Fiorina would be his vice presidential running mate. Instead, he suspended his presidential campaign after Donald Trump's victory in the Indiana Republican primary.

In 1980: Fiorina sold telephone services to large federal agencies at AT&T as a management trainee.

In 1990: The Company hired her as its first female executive vice president.

In 1995: For Lucent Technologies, Inc., Fiorina led corporate operations.

In July 1999: Fiorina succeeded Lewis Platt as chief executive officer of Hewlett-Packard Company.

2001: The Tech Bubble burst in early September 2001, and Fiorina announced the acquisition of Compaq for US$25 billion.

In January 2004: Fiorina announced an iPod+HP partnership with Apple founder Steve Jobs.
