Tadashi Yanai is the founder and president of Fast Retailing, the parent company of Uniqlo ("unique clothing"), an international clothing retailer. He was born in Tokyo, Japan, on February 7, 1949. Yanai is the son of Kanichi Yanai and Hisako Mori Yanai. Kazumi and Koji, his wife, and Yanai all reside in Tokyo. He owns two golf courses in Hawaii and lives in a $50,000 million house outside of Tokyo. He ranked 40th in terms of fortune according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index as of October 2021.
