Anand Mahindra, one of the known businessmen, was born on 1 May 1955 in Bombay. His parents were Harish Mahindra and Indira Mahindra, the late industrialists. Besides Anuja Sharma, Anand has two sisters, Radhika Nath and Anuja Sharma. Following his early education at Lawrence School, Lovedale, he studied filmmaking and architecture at Harvard University, graduating magna cum laude in 1977. A Harvard Business School MBA was awarded to him in 1981.
Career:
In 1981: As an Executive Assistant to the Finance Director at Mahindra Ugine Steel Company Ltd (MUSCO) in 1981, Anand joined the company.
In 1989: As MUSCO's President and Deputy Managing Director, he was appointed.
In April 1991: Anand Mahindra became Deputy Managing Director of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., an Indian producer of agricultural tractors and off-road vehicles.
In 2011: The Economic Development Board of Singapore invited Anand to join its International Advisory Council in 2011.
In 2012: His uncle, Keshub Mahindra was appointed Chairman of the Mahindra Group's board and Managing Director.
In 2013, Anand co-sponsored Kotak Mahindra Bank
In 2014: Anand joined the U.S.–India Business Council (USIBC) board.
