Richard Scarry, a well-known American children's author, was born in Boston.  Richard Scarry is renowned for his extensive, intricate picture books for young children. His family was well-off financially and owned a store. Scarry was raised in a happy, kind, and appreciative environment during his childhood. He enrolled in a business college but soon changed his mind and departed. Afterward, Richard Scarry enrolled at Boston's Museum of Fine Art College because he liked it there. He was assigned to North Africa to serve as the Morale Services Section of Allied Forces HQ's editor, director, artist, and writer of Art.

Career:

Scarry started doing book illustrations in 1947. He illustrated books by well-known children's authors like Patricia Murphy, Kathryn Jackson, and Margaret Wise Brown. 

In 1949, Scarry wed Patricia Murphy. Best Word Book Ever by Richard Scarry was his first major achievement (1963). 

Scarry's other best-selling books are Richard Scarry's Find Your ABCs (1973) and Please and Thank You Book (1973). (1973).

Achievements and Awards:

Scarry relocated to Switzerland in 1968, where he carried on creating books and illustrations for kids. 

Children have been amused by their intricate graphics, which also provide useful knowledge. About 30 different languages have Scarry books translated.
