Anton LaVey Career:
The 1950s: Anton LaVey worked as a musician and circus performer, playing the organ and performing as a lion tamer and burlesque performer.
The 1960s: Anton LaVey founded the Church of Satan in San Francisco in 1966 and began gaining media attention for his beliefs and practices. He authored "The Satanic Bible" in 1969, quickly becoming a controversial bestseller.
