Sunita Lyn Williams is a United States Navy officer American and astronaut. He previously held the records for the most shuttle missions by a woman (seven) and the longest spacewalk time for a woman (50 hours, 40 minutes). Sunita served on Expedition 14 and Expedition 15 of the International Space Station. In 2012, Sunita was a test pilot on Expedition 32 and then the commanding officer of Expedition 33.

In 1987 – Sunita was appointed as an ensign in the United States Navy.

In 1995 – She returned to the Naval Test Pilot School as a Rotary Wing Department instructor and Safety Officer.

In 1998 – Sunita began her preparation for becoming an astronaut at the Johnson Space Center.

In 2007 – She went on three spacewalks from the International Space Station with Michael López-Alegría.

In 2012 – Sunita Williams completed seven spacewalks totaling 50 hours and 40 minutes, placing her fifth on the list of most skilled spacewalkers.
