Gaspard Ulliel was born in Hauts-de-Seine, France on 25 November 1984. He was a well-known French actor. Ulliel is most recognized for his roles as younger Hannibal Lecter in Hannibal Rising and fashion couturier Yves Saint Laurent in the biopic Saint Laurent. Also, he is famous in his role as the face of Chanel’s men’s fragrance Bleu de Chanel. In the Disney+ series Moon Knight, he plays Anton Mogart/Midnight Man.
In 2002 and 2003, Ulliel was nominated for a César Award in the category of Most Promising Actor. He was getting that award in 2004 for his role in A Very Long Engagement. For his part in It’s Only the End of the World, he won the César Award for Best Actor in 2017.
Career
Ulliel began acting while he was still in high school, in Une Femme En Blanc, a French television film. He also played at the Cours Florent, where Les égarés director André Téchiné discovered him.
Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, he started acting in made-for-television films and later became known as a film actor in France, starring in the title role in Hannibal Rising, his first English-language film.
Personal Life
From 2005 to 2007, Ulliel was in a relationship with actress Cécile Cassel. In 2007, he had a brief relationship with Charlotte Casiraghi, and from 2008 to 2013, he dated Jordane Chantelle.
Ulliel has been in a relationship with Gaëlle Pietri, a French model, and Singer, since 2013. The couple announced they were looking for their first child together on November 9, 2015. On January 12, 2016, the couple’s son was born.
Death
Ulliel was seriously injured when skiing at the La Rosière resort in Savoie, France, on January 18, 2022. Thus, he was skinning when he collided with another skier at a slope intersection and got severe brain injuries. He didn’t have a helmet on.
He was flown to the trauma center of the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Grenoble Alpes in adjacent La Tronche by helicopter.
Ulliel, who was 37 years old, died the next day in the hospital.
