Robyn Rihanna Fenty was born on February 12, 1988, in Barbados. She is a Barbadian actress, singer, businesswoman, and fashion designer. Rihanna was founded by American record producer Evan Rogers, who brought her to the United States to record demo tapes. She was born in Saint Michael and grew up in Bridgetown, Barbados.

Rihanna quickly gained recognition after signing with Def Jam in 2005, releasing her first two studio albums, A Girl Like Music and Me of the Sun. Both were influenced by Caribbean music and charted in the top ten of the US Billboard 200 chart.

Music Career

Rihanna and two of her friends made a musical group in 2003. “Pon de Replay” and “The Last Time,” two of the demo tape’s tracks, were later featured in her debut album, Music of the Sun. In the same year, Rihanna was signed to Rogers and Carl Sturken’s production business, Syndicated Rhythm Productions.

In August of 2005, the album Music of the Sun was released. It debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 and got a gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of America, showing 500,000 units sold. Over 2 million copies of the album were sold globally. Aside from her music, Rihanna made her acting debut in the hit straight-to-DVD film Bring It On: All or Nothing, released in August 2006.

Personal Life

In 2007, Rihanna started dating Chris Brown, an American singer. She had an on-again, off-again romance with Canadian musician Drake from 2009 to 2016 after their relationship broke off in February 2009.

In an interview with Rolling Stone in January 2013, Rihanna claimed that she had restarted her relationship with Brown, even though he was still on probation for their 2009 domestic violence case. However, Brown revealed in an interview in May 2013 that he and Rihanna had split up again.

On May 19, 2021, in an interview with GQ, ASAP Rocky, an American rapper, claimed that he and Rihanna are dating. On January 31, 2022, people reported that the couple is expecting their first child.
