Hawkins may have survived its previous supernatural crisis, but Season 2 of Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 proves that the town is nowhere near normal. Set in winter 1985, the Hawkins Investigators Club returns to its usual mix of arcade games, friendship, and paranormal investigations just as a strange new phenomenon begins spreading through  town. Mysterious iridescent flowers appear across Hawkins, while ghostly apparitions and dangerous hate sprites create new threats for the young investigators. The group must uncover what is happening before another gateway to the Upside Down can be opened.
Season 2 also expands the group through Nikki Baxter, a transfer student who gradually becomes part of the Hawkins Investigators Club. Her connection with the other outsiders in Hawkins adds another layer to the group's friendships, while Eleven, Mike, and Dustin continue bringing their own strengths to the supernatural investigations. The season moves between familiar locations such as Hawkins Middle School and Palace Arcade and new territory, including the mysterious Hawkins mines.
