Sheriff Country returns in 2026 with Sheriff Mickey Fox facing a new chapter in the dangerous small town of Edgewater. The series expands the world of Fire Country through Mickey, a straight-shooting sheriff who must balance her responsibility to the community with complicated family problems and threats that keep growing closer to home.Show More
Mickey's job is rarely limited to routine police work. Her investigations repeatedly pull her into difficult situations involving crime, powerful families, missing people, corruption, and violence across Edgewater. Her determination to protect the town often means making difficult choices when the law, family loyalty, and personal feelings collide.
Season 1 left Mickey with an especially complicated future. The finale revealed that Eva Santos, whom Mickey and Wes believed had died, is actually Maria Fox, Mickey's mother. Eva also wants Mickey and Wes to work with the DEA against the Bulgarian cartel, creating a dangerous family mission that becomes an important part of the story moving into Season 2.
The new season also continues Mickey's professional partnership with Deputy Nathan Boone. Boone has repeatedly shown that he cares deeply about Mickey and the community, making their working relationship one of the important emotional connections within the sheriff's department.
Wes Fox remains another major influence on Mickey's life. Her ex-con father has his own knowledge of Edgewater's criminal world and becomes involved in the attempt to infiltrate the cartel. His unconventional approach often places him at odds with Mickey's law-enforcement methods.
Meanwhile, Travis Fraley remains connected to Mickey through their daughter Skye. As Mickey's ex-husband and a lawyer, Travis occupies a different position from the law-enforcement figures around her, but family pressures and Edgewater's increasingly dangerous conflicts continue to draw him into the story.
