At the heart of the story is Mauricio Reina, whose life has changed dramatically since unexpectedly becoming a father. He now has to deal with the much more complicated reality of raising Isabel, who has entered adolescence. Their father-daughter relationship becomes one of the central emotional threads of the continuation.
Isabel is no longer the little girl Mauricio once had to suddenly learn how to raise. She is growing into her own person, experiencing adolescence, relationships and greater independence. Mauricio struggles with the difficult balance between protecting his daughter and allowing her to make her own decisions.
Meanwhile, Dany and Mauricio face problems within their relationship. The new season explores the pressure that family responsibilities, changing expectations and years of shared history can place on a couple. Dany also has her own concerns involving her daughter Consuelo and the complicated decisions surrounding Lorenzo.
