Set in the world of cozy Japanese mystery, My Grandfather, the Master Detective follows Kaede, a 27-year-old elementary school teacher who loves classic detective stories and regularly encounters mysteries in everyday life. The person she turns to is her beloved grandfather, a former elementary school principal who raised her after her parents' deaths. At 71, he lives with Lewy body dementia, but when Kaede brings him a mystery, his mind can suddenly become remarkably clear, allowing him to build precise deductions and uncover the truth. The 2026 TV Asahi drama stars Ai Yoshikawa as Kaede and Eiji Okuda as her grandfather, with Keito Tsuna as Shiki and Yuri Tsunematsu as Misaki.
