Angel and the Badman (2026) is a Western action adventure romance directed by Julio Quintana and released by Angel Studios. The film is a modern remake of the classic Western story, but its central conflict remains intensely personal: what happens when a man shaped by violence is suddenly offered mercy instead of revenge?Show More
The story follows Quirt Evans, a feared outlaw who arrives wounded on a rancher’s land with a bullet in his back. He expects his violent life to end there, yet Penny, the rancher’s daughter, chooses compassion. Her kindness gives Quirt an unfamiliar possibility: he could survive without continuing to live by the gun.
That possibility becomes harder to accept when Quirt’s past refuses to disappear. The law is closing in, while Laredo and an outlaw gang bring the threat of violence directly toward the ranch. Quirt is therefore caught between two very different ways of life. One is built around fear, retaliation, and survival. The other offers family, peace, love, and the difficult work of becoming someone new.
Penny represents the compassionate path that begins changing Quirt’s outlook, while Irene Worth and the Worth family help establish the ranch as a place where patience and peaceful principles matter. Laredo, by contrast, embodies the dangerous world Quirt knows too well and the consequences of remaining loyal to violence.
This quiz uses those character contrasts to match your personality with one of four central figures: Quirt Evans, Penny, Laredo, or Irene Worth. There are no wrong answers. Each choice reflects how you might respond to trust, danger, loyalty, conflict, change, and the chance to leave an old life behind.
