David Andrew Warner was born in Sydney, Australia, on 27 October 1986. He is a former Australian cricket team captain and a left-handed opening batsman. Warner is the first Australian cricketer picked for a national team in every format without playing first-class cricket in 132 years. In domestic cricket, he represents New South Wales and the Sydney Thunder. During 2015 and 2018, he served as Australia's vice-captain in both Test and ODI cricket.
