Clorindo Testa (December 10, 1923 – April 11, 2013) was an Italian Argentine architect and artist.<more> Testa was instrumental in the formation of the rationalist movement in Argentina and was one of the early proponents of brutalism in that country. It was while he sat as a judge on the international jury of architects who selected Carlos Ott to build the Paris Opera House. The Konex Award is regarded as Argentina’s most prestigious prize for visual arts; Testa won it three times in his life for his achievements in 1982, 1992 and 2012. He died at Buenos Aires, Argentina at age eighty-nine.
