Zofia Nasierowska was born on April 24th, 1938, in Łomianki, Poland, and received the title of Artiste FIAP (AFIAP). Her first exhibition was at the age of eleven when she started taking pictures. Her father, photographer Eugeniusz Nasierowski, taught her photography. She then attended a phototechnical technical school, graduating from the National Film, Television, and Theater School's Cinematography Department. Several international exhibitions, including in Budapest, Karlovy Vary, Glasgow, London, and Stockholm, awarded her prizes. Photographs include landscapes, reportages, and, most importantly, portraits. She photographed famous people from the worlds of theatre, film, art, and culture. In addition, many Polish artists and intellectuals took photographs there during the 1960s and 1970s.

The 1930s-1940s: Zofia Nasierowska began her artistic career as a painter before turning to photography in the 1930s. Her main focus during this period was photographing her family and friends, experimenting with different techniques and styles.
The 1950s: Zofia Nasierowska began exhibiting her photographs at various galleries in Poland during the 1950s. A photojournalist, she documented life in her community and captured important cultural events.
The 1960s-1970s: The essence of Nasierowska's subjects' personalities was at the heart of her photography during the 1960s and 1970s. Her portraits are often dramatic and unconventional due to the unusual lighting and angles she uses. During this time, her work was exhibited widely in Poland and internationally.
The 1980s-1990s: Her work was featured in exhibitions and publications around the world throughout the 1980s and 1990s. A mentor to many young artists, she taught photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Poland.
The 2000s: Zofia Nasierowska continued to work and exhibit her photographs into the 2000s despite her advanced age. She was honored for her contributions to Polish photography in 2008 through a retrospective at the National Museum in Krakow.
