Paul Auster, a well-known American Writer, was born in Newark. Internationally renowned novelist Paul Auster is well known for his distinctive topics, including absurdism, identity crises, and existentialism. His works have been translated into more than thirty other languages, making him one of the most distinctive and innovative authors in modern literature. He has also translated the works of numerous well-known French authors and is a successful editor, poet, and screenwriter. In addition, he has written heartfelt autobiographies and memoirs, including his first book, "The Invention of Solitude," as well as "Winter Journal" and "Report From the Interior." He has also directed award-winning films.
Career:
One of his books, published under the pseudonym Paul Benjamin, was titled "Squeeze Play," published in 1982.
His "The New York Trilogy" trilogy of three mystery books was released by the publishing firm Faber & Faber in 1987.
In the Country of Last Things, another one of his novels was released in the same year. A book set in Manhattan, New York, titled "Moon Palace" was released in 1989.
His book "The Brooklyn Follies" was released in 2005 by Henry Holt and Co. His 2000 presidential election-focused novel, "Man in the Dark," was released in 2008.
