John Norman, born John Frederick Lange Jr., is an American author and philosopher. The Chronicles of Gor, a science-fiction series, is Norman's most well-known work. Prior to his retirement, he was a lecturer at Queens College of the City University of New York. The Gorean Saga by John Norman is a well-known collection of action, science fiction, and fantasy books.

John Norman Career:

In 1963: Lange received his Ph.D. from Princeton University.

From 1970-1980: The Gorean Saga Series helped Norman's literature become well-known in the 1970s and early 1980s. The Gorean Saga by John Norman is a well-known collection of action, science fiction, and fantasy books.

Two films, Gor (1987) and Outlaw of Gor (1989) have been made from the books till now.

The Gor series was published by DAW Books from the eighth volume (Hunters of Gor) to the twenty-fifth volume (Magicians of Gor).

In 1991: The Telnarian Histories, a distinct science fiction series, was created by Norman in 1991.
