Born on the 16th of August, 1973, in America, Jillian Lauren is a writer. She has a memoir called Some Girls: My Life in a Harem, which was inspired by Jefri Bolkiah. Back then he was the Prince of Brunei. Her passion for adoption makes her an advocate for it too. When she was young, she lived in Livingston, New Jersey and attended Newark Academy. Soon after Jillian graduated from New York University, she did some brief studying in acting at New York University as well.

2015: Every You Ever Wanted is a memoir written by Jillian Lauren. It was published in May 2015 and became a New York Times Bestseller. She has a master of fine arts in creative writing from Antioch University. There her work has been highly anthologized and appeared in The Moth Anthology and True Tales of Lust and Love among others. She also did regular performances as a storyteller for The Moth at spoken word events all over the country. A TEDx Talk in 2014 at Chapman University discussed adoption and identity.
2020: Dutton will be publishing Behold the Monster: Facing America's Most Prolific Serial Killer, which features her work on true crime cases. In a five-part series, Confronting a Serial Killer will document her efforts to bring Little’s victims justice and link cold cases back to him.
