About (Profile/Biography):
Aravind Adiga was born on 23 October 1974 in Madras (now Chennai). Dr. K. Madhava Adiga is his father and Usha Adiga is his mother from Mangalore. In addition to be a writer, he is also a journalist. He won his debut novel's 2008 Man Booker Prize for The White Tiger. As a child, Adiga attended Canara High School in Mangalore, then St. Aloysius College in Mangaluru, where he completed his SSLC in 1990. Aravind attended James Ruse Agricultural High School after emigrating to Sydney with his family. In 1997, he graduated as a salutatorian from Columbia College, Columbia University, New York City, where he studied English literature under Simon Schama.
Career:
During his internship at the Financial Times, Aravind Adiga began his career as a financial journalist. He covered stock market and investment topics with articles published in the Financial Times and Money.
It was adapted into a Netflix original movie based on Adiga's 2008 Booker Prize-winning novel, The White Tiger.
The second book by Adiga, Between the Assassinations, was published in November 2008 in India.
