Geeta Phogat is a notorious freestyle wrestler in India. She got limelight when she won her first Gold Medal in Commonwealth for India. Geeta Phogat belongs to the Jatt family, and she started his training under the coach Mahavir Singh Phogat (father of Geeta Phogat), who is a Dhronacharya recipient. Geeta's younger sister Babita Kumari was also a commonwealth Gold Medallist, and she married notorious Wrestler Pawan Kumar.

Career

In 2010: Geeta Phogat won her first Gold Medal at the Commonwealth Games, defeating Emily Bensted from Australia.

In 2012: She participated in World Wrestling Championship and won a Bronze Medal.

In 2013: Geeta won the Silver Medal in the women's freestyle 59 kg category at the Commonwealth Wrestling Championship.

In 2015: She won the Bronze Medal in Asian Wrestling Championship in Doha.

In 2017: She appeared as a contestant in Khatron Ke Khiladi season 8, eliminated in 9th position.
