Emma Raducanu MBE was born on November 13, 2002, and is a British professional tennis player. Her career-high ranking was No. 10 by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) on July 11, 2022. She is the current British No. 1. It is her first Grand Slam singles title since Virginia Wade's victory at Wimbledon in 1977. Originally from Toronto, Raducanu was raised in London. Her WTA Tour debut took place in June 2021. Her first major tournament was Wimbledon, where she reached the fourth round as a wildcard entry ranked outside the top 300.

2018–2020: Itf Circuit And Fed Cup
• Emma Raducanu debuted on the ITF Women's Circuit in 2018 and won her first title at the $15,000 ITF Tiberias in May. The ITF Antalya was the final tournament of her season, and she won $15,000 again.
• The 25K Solapur Open was her last tournament. In December, she won a $25K event in Pune, India; she beat Naiktha Bains in three sets in the final. Three sets were needed to win her semifinal and quarterfinal matches.
• Emma Raducanu played exhibition matches and small tournaments in the United Kingdom. A Lawn Tennis Association LTA British Tour Masters title was awarded to her in December 2020. Level exams were also taken in 2021, so she focused on her academic studies.

• Emma Raducanu began training with coach Nigel Sears at the end of April 2021. Raducanu made her WTA Tour debut as a wildcard at the Nottingham Open at the beginning of June. The Briton Harriet Dart defeated her in the first round.
