Molly Yeh was born on May 22, 1989. Besides authoring cookbooks and blogging, she hosts the Food Network cooking show Girl Meets Farm. John Bruce Yeh and Jody Yeh were clarinetists when Yeh was born in Glenview, Illinois. Mia has a younger half-sister, Mia, who is a chef, and an older sister, Jenna, who is a chef. To attend Juilliard for percussion, Yeh grew up in Chicago's suburbs. Since 2009, she has kept a blog based on the journals she kept as a child.

Career:
• Molly Yeh’s two percussion ensembles won consecutive gold medals in the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition's junior division (2004 and 2005)—The Rattan Trio and Beat 3.
• During his teen years, Yeh appeared twice on "From the Top," in 2004 and 2007.
• In 2011: Yeh earned a Bachelor of Music degree in percussion at the Juilliard School, where she served as an editorial assistant at The Juilliard Journal. 
• In 2016: Rodale Books published Yeh's first book, Molly on the Range: Recipes and Stories from an Unlikely Life on a Farm.
• In 2018: Food Network announced that Yeh would host a cooking show.
• In 2018: She co-hosted From the Top, a podcast showcasing young classical musicians.
