Jack Morris is a well-known American former professional baseball starting pitcher born in Minnesota. From 1977 through 1994, he played baseball in Major League Baseball (MLB), principally with the Detroit Tigers. In the 1984 Championship Series, he won two complete games and finished 3-0 in the postseason. He was the pitcher that started the most matches, pitched the most innings, and had the most victories in the 1980s while giving up the most hits, runs scored, and home runs.
Career:
Morris won the 1984 and 1991 Babe Ruth Awards and was selected as the World Series MVP in 1991.
Morris is one of just eight MLB players to have won consecutive World Series championships while playing for separate teams.
Morris was honored by the Hall of Fame of Baseball in 2018.
