David Chang is a well-known American restaurateur, author, and TV personality, born in Virginia. As the creator of the Momofuku restaurant, David Chang is well known. Among the bars in this collection are the Ma Peche Milk Bar and the Momofuku Sam Bar. Chang graduated from French Culinary Institute with a culinary degree. In addition, David Chang had positions at Tom Colicchio's Craft eatery and the Mercer Kitchen. Later, he relocated to Japan and worked at a tiny soba shop. After some time, he returned to the United States and started working at Café Boulud.
Career:
In the East Village, David debuted his first eatery, Momofuku Noodle Bar, in 2004.
His site says that "Momofuku" is Japanese for "lucky peach." The creator of quick noodles, Momofuku Ando, also shares a name with the eatery.
In 2006, David opened a second restaurant. It was called Momofuku Ssam Bar and was located only a few blocks from the original one.
Following college, David worked a variety of occupations, including busing tables and teaching English.
Before founding his restaurant, Momofuku Noodle Bar, David worked at Mercer Kitchen and several other eateries.
In May 2009, it was reported that Momofuku Milk Bar's Crack Pie, Cereal Milk, and Compost Cookies were in the process of being trademarked.

Chang announced that his debut West Coast eatery would open in Los Angeles in July 2017.
Chang announced that his first eatery outside the US would open in Sydney, Australia, in November 2010.
